Six podiums for the Metalcaucho Racing Team and Pol Castells in a mountain rally

Excellent weekend of competition at the X Pujada a les Ventoses (Tarragona)

We continue to celebrate victories. Pol Castells, an employee of the Quality Department, at the wheel of a Nissan Micra Cup with Barcelona brand spare parts, competed in the X Pujada at Les Ventoses. It was the second time that the Metalcaucho Racing Team had contested this type of race in the Catalunya Mountain Championship (CCM), after debuting with victory at the Pujada a Alcover in March.

This test was held for two days, the weekend of June 12 and 13, in Sant Jaume dels Domenys (Tarragona province). The first day of the race got off to a good start, with Pol Castells dropping his best time in practice by 5 seconds, but in the second race, a small touch with a chicane made the front wing brush against the tire. However, even with the problem he managed to improve his time and three podiums: 3rd in Class 1, 2nd in Group N, and 2nd in the Challenge Lluis Costa Junior.

On Sunday, the Metalcaucho Racing Team continued to improve their records. In the first race of the race he dropped the best time of the previous day by 3 seconds, even reaching the car that had started 30 seconds before the Nissan Micra. In the second race Pol Castells gave it his all and was able to drop 1 second plus his best time, even managing to be the 12th fastest overall in that heat. The results were again very good: 2nd in Group N, 2nd in the Lluis Costa Junior Challenge, and 1st in Class 1.

In short, an excellent weekend of competition, going from less to more, and always lowering the times in all the races that were contested. A victory and six podiums for Pol Castells, who continues to grow in the motor world hand in hand with Metalcaucho.
